Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv is preparing meetings in the United States with international partners focused on peace negotiations, energy, food security and weapons support. He said new assistance packages for Ukraine, particularly air defense systems, are expected to be discussed. Zelenskyy also announced efforts to expand the Anti-Ballistic Coalition, saying Ukraine aims to have a system ready for testing by the end of the year. The system, he said, should be effective, scalable and less expensive than existing alternatives. He added that European defense companies are participating in Ukraine’s FREYJA program. The president said he had signed legislation introducing criminal liability for scam call centers and thanked lawmakers for supporting measures linked to Ukraine’s commitments to international partners. He also pointed to legislation intended to help finance the state budget amid a significant deficit. Zelenskyy said Ukraine would restore asset declarations for law enforcement and security personnel not currently fighting in the war. He called for financial checks covering heads of central government bodies and urged faster reforms at state-owned companies, including Forests of Ukraine and Energoatom.
