A 15-year-old boy faces charges following a high-speed chase involving a stolen blue Mustang in Logan, as announced by the Queensland Police Service (QPS). The incident, which unfolded over the course of a day, ended with police deploying a tyre deflation device to halt the stolen vehicle. Late on April 24, an individual reportedly broke into a residence on Jessica Boulevard, Minyama, stealing the car keys and fleeing in the Mustang. The vehicle was later spotted in multiple locations including Broadbeach Waters and throughout Logan. Using PolAir surveillance, police tracked the car from the Gateway Motorway to the Logan Motorway, culminating in the use of the tyre deflation device at 7:05 PM in Underwood. The car was abandoned in a Kingston Road carpark. The young suspect was apprehended shortly after at a location in Woodridge. He has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
