A distressing incident unfolded at a shopping center in Capalaba, Queensland, resulting in the wounding of an 18-year-old man on April 26. Queensland Police have acted swiftly, charging a 26-year-old from Ashgrove following the altercation which involved a knife. According to the Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch, the confrontation took place around 5:30 PM at the Redland Bay Road shopping center. During the dispute, it is alleged that the 26-year-old inflicted a neck injury on the younger man using a knife. The victim was promptly taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening. In response to the incident, investigators were able to locate and arrest the suspect at a nearby Capalaba address shortly after 7:30 PM. The Ashgrove individual has been charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and was denied police bail. The accused appeared before the Cleveland Magistrates Court on April 27.
