A 53-year-old Harristown man has been charged with grievous bodily harm following an alleged physical altercation at a workplace in Cabarlah on September 17, Queensland Police said. Emergency services were called to a site on Escarpment Avenue shortly after 9 a.m. Police allege that a 26-year-old man from Crows Nest was injured during the altercation, falling from a platform onto a metal bar. He sustained serious back injuries and was taken to Toowoomba Hospital. He has since been released. The 53-year-old man was arrested on September 23 and charged with one count of grievous bodily harm. He was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on October 13.
