Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for faster delivery of military and energy-support packages as the country continues repairing damage from Russian strikes. In an address on Nov. 7, he said attacks had damaged energy infrastructure, logistics networks and bridges, contributing to power shortages in several regions despite national electricity production exceeding consumption.

Zelenskyy said recovery work was under way in the Dnipro, Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions, with additional repair crews and equipment being deployed. He said six ballistic missiles were fired at Kyiv’s Northern Bridge overnight, with four striking the structure, and directed the Interior Ministry to coordinate backup transportation arrangements with the Kyiv city administration.

The president also said Ukraine would seek stronger air-defense and energy assistance through upcoming meetings involving the Group of Seven, the Coalition of the Willing and the Ramstein format. He thanked Ukrainian military units for reported operations along several fronts and credited naval forces with strikes against Russian military-production facilities in Russia’s Rostov region and the city of Oryol.

Zelenskyy further addressed allegations involving the Security Service of Ukraine, describing recent developments as serious and unacceptable. He said dismissals had already taken place, additional personnel decisions were expected and investigations should establish responsibility. He also said he had approved a draft law restoring mandatory asset declarations for all Security Service employees and urged Parliament to pass it.
