A 26-year-old Toowong woman has been charged with arson following a house fire in Inala last week, Queensland Police said. No occupants were injured, but the dwelling was extensively damaged.

Emergency services were called to a property on Tamarind Street at about 5:32 p.m. on October 30. Detectives from the Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch and Centenary Crime Team later located and arrested the woman in Logan on November 7.

Police allege the woman knew a male occupant of the home and deliberately started the fire following a dispute. She is also alleged to have fled the scene on foot.

The woman has been charged with one count of arson involving a domestic building as a domestic violence offence. She remains in custody and is due to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court on November 9.
