A 30-year-old Redcliffe woman has been charged with arson following a unit fire that injured another woman in Redcliffe on September 22, Queensland Police said. Emergency services were called to a unit complex on John Street at about 10 a.m. after a second-storey dwelling caught fire. The blaze was extinguished shortly afterward. A 33-year-old woman suffered significant burns to her torso and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where she remained in stable condition. Police declared a crime scene and arrested the accused a short time later on Bee Gee Way. The woman is scheduled to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on September 23.
