NASA’s SpaceX Crew-12 astronauts will speak with media from the International Space Station on Sept. 16 ahead of their planned return to Earth, the agency said in a media advisory. The news conference is scheduled to begin at 2:45 p.m. EDT and will be streamed online through NASA’s website.

NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev are expected to discuss their mission and upcoming departure from the station. Media seeking to participate must contact NASA’s Johnson Space Center newsroom by 5 p.m. EDT on Sept. 15.

Crew-12 joined Expedition 74/75 aboard the station and conducted hundreds of experiments supporting future human exploration and research benefiting people on Earth. Studies included pneumonia-causing bacteria, intravenous fluid production for future missions and blood flow during spaceflight.

The crew is scheduled to leave after the arrival of SpaceX Crew-13 and a brief handover period. Mission teams will assess weather near planned splashdown sites off California before the astronauts depart the station.
