Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and U.S. presidential envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on Nov. 4, according to updates published on the official website of Ukraine’s presidency. The discussions focused on military support, air defense and preparations for a possible trilateral format in Abu Dhabi. During his meeting with Pistorius in Berlin, Zelenskyy said Ukraine and Germany were working to accelerate deliveries of missiles for Patriot air-defense systems. The Ukrainian president has repeatedly called for additional air-defense support as the country continues to face missile and drone attacks. Zelenskyy also held a 90-minute phone conversation with Witkoff and Kushner while in Madrid. The talks addressed preparations for a trilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi and efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses. Separately, Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s presidential office, received an icon depicting Hetman Petro Konashevych-Sahaidachny from Kostyantyn Kholodov, a chaplain with Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence. The icon was described as one of several works painted by a Ukrainian servicemember for prominent figures in the country. Post navigation Young Olympians Look Beyond Medals
