A 68-year-old man has died following a collision involving a motorcycle and a truck on the Atherton Tablelands in Queensland. Emergency services were called to Kennedy Highway in Evelyn at about 3:35 p.m. on September 21 after reports of the crash. The motorcyclist, from Carrington, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene. The truck driver was not injured. Queensland Police Service’s Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. Police urged motorists to drive carefully and warned that speeding, fatigue, distraction, impaired driving and failing to wear a seatbelt can contribute to fatal crashes.
