In a significant operation on October 11, officers from the State Flying Squad (SFS) charged a 43-year-old woman from Kallangur with multiple drug-related offenses. The operation took place at a residence on Kent Street where authorities discovered an array of illegal substances and related paraphernalia.

During the search, police seized methylamphetamine, MDMA, cannabis, and an unlawful prescription opioid medication. They also found a large sum of cash, suspected to be proceeds from criminal activities, along with a pipe, scales, clip-seal bags, used syringes, and unlawfully possessed fireworks. The suspect was charged with four counts of possessing dangerous drugs and two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia, among other offenses.

The woman was expected to face Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on October 13. The SFS, a unit deployed across Queensland to support local police in crime hotspots, led the raid. Detective Inspector Joe Nixon of the SFS highlighted the importance of the squad in boosting police capabilities and addressing crime efficiently across the region.

“The Squad is skilled in engaging and coordinating with local resources to provide an investigative surge capacity,” Nixon stated. He emphasized their role in removing harmful substances from the streets and enhancing community safety in Queensland.
