Ukraine Reports Significant Losses in Russian Forces

In a recent address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Russian forces have suffered substantial casualties in the ongoing Dobropillia counteroffensive, totaling over 12,000 since August 21. The President highlighted that more than 7,200 of these losses were irrecoverable, emphasizing the scale of the conflict in the regions of Pokrovsk and Dobropillia.

President Zelenskyy detailed the extensive military engagements across various fronts, praising the efforts of multiple brigades and special operations forces involved in the defense and counteroffensive operations. He acknowledged the long discussions and strategic planning undertaken with military leaders, including Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, to review brigade preparations and frontline supplies.

The address also covered Ukraine’s broader strategic response to the conflict, including enhancements in weapons production and the implementation of long-range sanctions against Russia, which have led to a significant fuel shortage there. President Zelenskyy reiterated Ukraine’s openness to peace while stressing that pressure on Russia remains the most effective strategy.
