Hyundai Motor’s Translocal Series: Via Satellite will open Nov. 5 at the Nam June Paik Art Center in Yongin, South Korea, before traveling to the Pinacoteca de São Paulo in Brazil for a presentation beginning Nov. 28. The exhibition features newly commissioned works by artists Christine Sun Kim, biarritzzz, Jane Jin Kaisen and Vivian Caccuri. Hyundai said the series explores how art and technology can foster connections across geographically distant communities. Inspired by Nam June Paik’s pioneering work with technology and media, the exhibition examines the possibilities of “translocal” relationships in contemporary society.
