Samsung is highlighting the use of its large-format The Wall display in control rooms operated by Malaysia’s Iskandar Puteri City Council and NASCAR in the United States. The company said the installations are designed to help operators manage large volumes of video, data and communications in real time. At the Iskandar Puteri Command and Control Centre in Johor, Malaysia, a 19.35-meter curved display brings together traffic, public safety and environmental monitoring information. The city council said the system supports coordination among agencies during incidents and enables teams to monitor multiple smart-city systems from a centralized location. NASCAR uses a 9.75-meter-wide by 2.74-meter-high The Wall display at its Remote Race Control center in Concord, North Carolina. The screen allows as many as 24 officials to review live race footage, data and replays from more than 200 camera angles, providing additional support for trackside decision-making. Samsung said The Wall includes AES-128 encryption, its Knox security platform, redundant power and signal systems, and a modular design intended to reduce service interruptions. The company also said its Micro AI Processor helps process live footage, while the display’s modular architecture supports continuous operation in mission-critical environments.
