Wiseman Brings NASA to Baltimore Game

NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman will join fans at the Baltimore Ravens’ game against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 20 as part of the agency’s Inspiration Tour. The Baltimore native is scheduled to discuss space exploration and aeronautics innovation during the event.

Wiseman, commander of NASA’s Artemis II mission, will be available for media interviews inside the stadium at 12:20 p.m. Reporters may RSVP through NASA spokesperson Shaneequa Vereen.

Before the game, NASA representatives will host an Experience Zone outside the stadium from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The exhibit will feature information about the Artemis program, interactive activities, a selfie station and a large inflatable NASA logo.

Wiseman spent 175 days in space during two missions and is a 27-year Navy veteran. On April 1, he and the Artemis II crew launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida aboard NASA’s Space Launch System rocket and completed a lunar flyby, marking humanity’s return to the vicinity of the Moon in more than five decades.

NASA’s Inspiration Tour is scheduled to conclude with MAX POWER, a public exhibition of American air and space innovation on Nov. 7 and 8 near Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
