Queensland Police are appealing for information after a prime mover and attached trailer were stolen from a holding yard in Toolara Forest, near Gympie, on September 6. Police said the white 2000 Western Star 4800 Series prime mover and Mammoth Float trailer, carrying a dozer, were taken from a site on Tin Can Bay Road between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. The prime mover bears Queensland registration XQ23NS, while the trailer is registered as YB30JK. The dozer was found abandoned in rough terrain off Gaeta Road, west of Gin Gin, on September 10. Investigators believe the prime mover and trailer were last seen in the Gin Gin area and are seeking dashcam footage, CCTV or other information that could assist the investigation.
