Police have charged a 32-year-old Park Ridge man in connection with a deadly traffic collision that occurred last year in Apple Tree Creek, Bundaberg. The devastating incident, which happened before dawn on October 10, 2025, involved a northbound Volvo Prime Mover truck colliding with two southbound vehicles on the Bruce Highway. The collision tragically claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl from Brunswick Heads, who was a passenger in a White Mazda CX-5. The Mazda’s driver, a 22-year-old woman from Sarina, sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle involved, a White Toyota Hilux, escaped physical harm. The truck driver was not injured and has been accused of dangerous vehicle operation causing death. Following his arrest, the accused was released on strict bail conditions.
