NASA, in partnership with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), launched a new initiative called NASA Force, which includes a dedicated website that opened on April 17, 2026. This initiative aims to recruit America’s top engineers and technologists to enhance and support the nation’s air and space programs.

NASA Force seeks to draw early- to mid-career professionals to contribute to NASA’s far-reaching missions, according to NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman. The initiative follows the success of the Artemis II mission and is designed to capitalize on the increased interest in NASA’s projects, propelling what Isaacman refers to as the “Golden Age of innovation and exploration.”

The NASA Force website is part of the broader US Tech Force initiative led by OPM, which focuses on recruiting elite technical professionals into federal service. The goal is to accelerate innovation, modernize systems, and strengthen mission delivery across multiple agencies. OPM Director Scott Kupor emphasized that NASA Force is not only about recruiting top-tier talent but also about reinforcing NASA’s collaboration with the private sector to drive an ambitious agenda.

Interested candidates can now apply for aerospace engineer positions, which are initially offered as two-year term positions with the possibility of extensions. More job openings are expected to be announced in the forthcoming weeks and months. For more details and applications, prospective applicants can visit the NASA Force website at https://www.nasaforce.gov.

NASA is determined to maintain its leadership in global air and space exploration through these strategic recruitment efforts, ensuring the agency’s enduring legacy of innovation and its pivotal role in U.S. space policy.
