During a joint press conference with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed profound gratitude for Britain’s unwavering support amid the ongoing conflict. The event marked Starmer’s fourth official visit to Ukraine, underscoring a period of intensified cooperation and mutual commitment.

President Zelenskyy highlighted the “strongest in our history” relationship between the two nations, which has been cemented further by frequent discussions and pivotal decisions. Over the course of their collaboration, the leaders have engaged in 46 official conversations, reflecting a robust partnership aimed at confronting the current crisis.

The UK’s support, quantified at over £11 billion, including nearly £8 billion in military assistance, has played a crucial role in Ukraine’s defense strategy. This includes the provision of thousands of defense systems such as anti-aircraft missiles and air defense systems. Additionally, the enactment of the One Hundred Year Partnership Agreement exemplifies the long-term commitment and mutual trust between Ukraine and the UK.

President Zelenskyy also praised the UK’s strong sanctions policy against Russia, emphasizing its impact and the clear message it sends against the conflict.
