QUEENSLAND, February 2, 2026 – A fatal traffic incident occurred this evening near the Daintree Ferry crossing at Kimberley, resulting in the death of a 43-year-old woman. The Queensland Police Service reported that the accident involved a single vehicle, a white Toyota Hilux, which collided with an embankment and overturned on Cape Tribulation Road.

Police and emergency services rushed to the scene after receiving a notification at 6:36 PM. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Forensic crash officers are currently investigating to ascertain the cause of the accident.
