Samsung Electronics outlined its 2026 vision for AI-powered home appliances during a CES 2026 Deep Dive session in Las Vegas, presenting connected Bespoke AI devices as “Home Companions” designed to respond more proactively to users’ daily needs. The company said appliances connected through its SmartThings platform will use technologies including Bixby voice recognition, screens and cameras to interpret their surroundings and adapt to household routines. Samsung also plans to extend the ecosystem across televisions, mobile devices and other products. Samsung executives said regional preferences will guide the company’s 2026 appliance strategy. In North America, the company plans to emphasize products such as the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo and unified stainless-steel kitchen packages. In Europe, Samsung highlighted energy-efficient appliances, including a Bespoke AI washer that it says uses up to 65% less energy than the minimum requirement for the region’s Class A rating, based on internal testing. The company also identified laundry and air-conditioning products as growth areas in Latin America, while pointing to smart-home ecosystems, regional language support and expanded AI Energy Mode features as opportunities in Asia. Samsung said it intends to broaden AI applications into areas including HVAC, modular housing and insurance-based care, supported by regional customization, collaboration and long-term software updates.
