Authorities in Queensland are seeking public assistance in identifying four men involved in a daring armed robbery at a jewellery store in Chermside. The incident, which took place on June 10, involved a group of masked individuals using hammers and metal bars to smash display cases before fleeing with a substantial amount of jewellery.

CCTV footage released by detectives shows the suspects fleeing the scene in a stolen grey Honda CR-V, bearing the registration 495ZJW, which was previously reported stolen from Calamvale. During the heist, a 38-year-old store employee was assaulted with a hammer and is currently recovering in stable condition at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

The suspects are described as males in their late teens to early twenties, wearing distinct clothing including high-visibility shirts and hooded jumpers. Police believe this robbery may be linked to a similar incident in Lutwyche where a jewellery store was targeted last month.

Detective Senior Sergeant Ken Rogers has emphasized the urgency of capturing the perpetrators, stating, “There is absolutely no place for violent crimes in Brisbane’s north.” The police continue to appeal for any information or footage that could aid in the investigation. Citizens are encouraged to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers with any relevant details.
