Albania is scheduled to sign the Artemis Accords at a ceremony Sept. 21 at NASA headquarters in Washington, becoming the 73rd country to join the international space exploration framework, NASA said in a media advisory. NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson is expected to host Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha and Albanian Ambassador to the United States Ervin Bushati. Officials from the U.S. Department of State also are scheduled to attend. The Artemis Accords were established in 2020 by the United States and seven other founding nations. The agreement outlines principles intended to promote safe, transparent and coordinated civil space exploration on the Moon, Mars and beyond. The ceremony is limited to in-person attendance. Media representatives must RSVP by 10 a.m. EDT on Sept. 21 through NASA’s headquarters media office. Post navigation Europol Task Force Identifies 18 Children
