A fire destroyed two cars and damaged three townhouses at a complex on Foreshore Street, Coomera, overnight, Queensland Police said. Several residents were evacuated as a precaution. Emergency services were called to the property at about 12:20 a.m. after a fire began in a carport and spread to an attached townhouse. Fire crews extinguished the blaze, but three townhouses sustained damage. Police are investigating the incident, which is not considered suspicious at this stage.
