The European Parliament’s Civil Liberties Committee will hold a press conference on the humanitarian and security situation in Ceuta, Spain, on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Committee Chair Javier Zarzalejos will appear alongside Ceuta President Mayor Juan Jesús Vivas. The briefing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. CEST at the Parliament’s Brussels headquarters. Accredited journalists may attend in person or participate remotely, with interpretation available in English, French and Spanish. The event will also be streamed and recorded online. The committee held an extraordinary meeting on Aug. 6 to discuss the situation after large numbers of migrants arrived in Ceuta at the end of July.
