The European Parliament is set to debate Russian drone incursions and strikes on EU territory, support for the International Criminal Court and updated passenger-protection rules during its plenary session on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Members of the European Parliament will discuss recent incidents involving ships off the Bulgarian and Romanian Black Sea coasts with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas. A resolution on the issue is scheduled for a vote on Thursday.

The agenda also includes debate on EU support for the ICC amid U.S. sanctions against the court, as well as a final vote on revised passenger-rights rules covering travel disruptions and information for travelers. Other discussions will address EU-UK relations, Houthi attacks, the 2027 EU budget, competition policy and proposed U.S. sanctions on Russia.

Parliament will also vote on measures concerning simplified waste rules, critical raw materials, high-speed rail links, protections for vulnerable adults, urban cohesion policy and efforts to combat value-added tax fraud. The session will be available through Parliament’s online webstream and the European Commission’s audiovisual service.
