Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested a 38-year-old man linked to the recent deaths of a woman and a child in Belivah, Queensland. The incident, initially unfolding from a traffic accident, led to the shocking discovery of two fatalities at a local residence on March 12.

Early in the morning of the incident, authorities were alerted to a traffic accident on Beaudesert Beenleigh Road at Bannockburn, involving a man struck by a vehicle. Further investigations revealed that prior to the accident, the man had left a nearby address in Belivah. Upon visiting the home, police found a 37-year-old woman and an 11-month-old girl deceased.

The suspect, who was known to the victims, has been charged with two counts of murder under domestic violence offenses. He remains hospitalized and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court via video on March 18.
