A two-day intensive search operation culminated in relief as a 51-year-old man from Sharon, reported missing since March 13, was found safe and sound at a residence on Wood Road, Sharon. The man, who had last been seen entering the water from a houseboat at Burnett Heads, was located just after 9 a.m. on March 15.

Authorities transported the man to Bundaberg Hospital for medical assessment following his discovery. Queensland Police expressed gratitude towards the media, community members, and the various emergency services and volunteers who played a crucial role in the multi-agency search and rescue operation.
