Charges Filed in Inala Stabbing

In a recent incident in Inala, a 37-year-old man has been charged with multiple offenses following a late-night altercation that resulted in a stabbing. The confrontation occurred just before 11 PM on March 12, when a homeowner was allegedly attacked by an intruder.

Police were summoned to a residence on Tamarind Street after reports that a 29-year-old man had sustained a stab wound to his finger while confronting an individual attempting to break into his home. The suspect was apprehended shortly after on Poinciana Street, where he too had sustained a non-life-threatening puncture wound to his arm.

Both individuals were transported to the hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. The accused, also from Inala, faces serious charges including causing grievous bodily harm, possessing a knife in public, possessing house-breaking instruments at night, entering a dwelling to commit an offense, and unlawful possession of suspected stolen property.

He appeared before the Richlands Magistrates Court on March 13. The Queensland Police Service urges anyone with additional information to come forward and contact Policelink or report anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
