A fatal vehicle collision in Wyreema has led to serious charges against a 37-year-old Felton woman, announced Queensland Police. The incident, which occurred on July 30, 2025, has now moved into the legal phase after extensive investigations by the Toowoomba Forensic Crash Unit. The crash involved a southbound white 2011 Toyota Landcruiser colliding with a northbound silver 2011 Toyota Aurion on Toowoomba Karara Road. The collision resulted in the death of the 57-year-old Aurion driver, a Wyreema resident, at the scene. The Landcruiser driver, alongside her three young passengers, sustained non-lethal injuries and were hospitalized immediately after the incident. The Felton woman is currently facing charges of dangerously operating a vehicle causing death while under the influence of an intoxicating substance. Her court appearance is scheduled for March 30 at the Toowoomba Magistrates Court. Queensland Police are urging any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage of the crash to come forward to assist with ongoing investigations.
