Queensland Police are investigating a suspicious fire that erupted at a business in Capalaba on the night of August 21. The incident, which occurred around 9:30 PM, prompted an emergency response to the location near Finucane Road and Old Cleveland Road. Fortunately, the two individuals inside the premises escaped unharmed. Upon arrival, officers found the business engulfed in flames, although the fire was quickly brought under control. Initial investigations have revealed the presence of a blue sedan that fled the scene immediately after the fire broke out. Shortly thereafter, a blue Mazda sedan was discovered on fire near Goodge Court, Birkdale, and was subsequently extinguished. Authorities have established a crime scene at the Capalaba business as they continue their investigation into the fire and the whereabouts of the Mazda’s driver.
