Europol has added four men and one woman to the EU Most Wanted list over their alleged involvement in the 2022 robbery of valuable jewellery at the European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF) in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The suspects were listed on 29 October 2026 following an investigation by Dutch authorities supported by Europol. The robbery took place on 28 June 2022, when the group allegedly used violence to break into display cases and steal jewellery worth millions of euros. Dutch police and the Limburg Public Prosecutor’s Office said several diamonds from the stolen haul have since been recovered, including stones found in Botswana, Hong Kong and Israel. Investigators also linked at least one of the suspects to an attempted robbery at the Maastricht fair in March 2020. The lead reportedly emerged from data obtained from Sky ECC, an encrypted communications service used by criminal networks that was taken offline by police in March 2021. The Dutch Public Prosecutor’s Office is offering a €20,000 reward for information leading to the suspects’ arrests. Europol urged anyone who recognizes the fugitives on the EU Most Wanted website not to approach them, but to contact national fugitive-active-search teams through their online profiles.
