Queensland police have charged five juveniles after several vehicles were allegedly stolen during break-ins in Bushland Beach and Gulliver, Townsville, on October 26. One vehicle remains outstanding as investigations continue. Police allege offenders entered a home on Daintree Drive in Bushland Beach at about 12:15 a.m. and stole keys to a Toyota RAV4 and Ford Everest. A Mazda BT50 was allegedly stolen from Leeds Street, Gulliver, at about 5:30 a.m. The Ford Everest was later spotted by POLAIR being driven dangerously in Garbutt. Police deployed a tyre-deflation device, and the vehicle stopped on Langton Street, where five occupants allegedly fled. A 16-year-old Shorncliffe boy is accused of approaching a nearby woman and demanding her car keys. The woman sustained minor injuries, but her vehicle was not taken. All five suspects were arrested shortly afterward. Police said the Mazda BT50 was found in Condon on October 28, while the grey Toyota RAV4, Queensland registration 617RYM, remains missing. The five juveniles, aged between 14 and 17, face various charges including unlawful use of motor vehicles, receiving tainted property, stealing and entering a dwelling. Several are due to appear in Townsville Children’s Court in coming weeks, while one remains in custody. Post navigation Highway Operation Nets 400 Infringements
