Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with leaders from Moldova, Lithuania and Estonia on Oct. 26, focusing on European Union integration, regional cooperation and efforts to achieve peace.

Meeting with Moldova’s prime minister, Zelenskyy discussed joint infrastructure projects and the countries’ shared path toward EU membership. He said Ukraine and Moldova should continue advancing their integration efforts together and called attempts to separate the two processes unacceptable.

Zelenskyy also discussed Ukraine’s EU accession negotiations with the speaker of Lithuania’s Seimas. He said Ukraine aimed to open two additional negotiating clusters by the end of the year, allowing all six clusters to be opened and further work to begin on reforms and negotiations with EU member states. The talks also covered Lithuania’s priorities as it prepares to hold the presidency of the Council of the EU in the first half of 2027.

In a separate call, Zelenskyy congratulated Estonia’s newly inaugurated president, Ülle Madise. He expressed hopes for Estonia’s success and reaffirmed the importance of relations between the two countries.
