Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney attended a presentation of Ukrainian drones, joint defence technologies and component manufacturers in Canada, according to Ukraine’s presidential office. The leaders viewed demonstrations of several unmanned systems, including the Vampire 4S UAV, P1-SUN interceptor, Shrike FPV drone and GOR reconnaissance UAV. They were also shown Himera radios, the Ratel unmanned ground vehicle and unmanned maritime systems developed by Ukrainian companies UFORCE and Scorpena. The presentation highlighted planned partnerships between Ukrainian and Canadian firms. Airlogix is preparing to produce the GOR reconnaissance UAV with Canada’s Sentinel, while Ai Drones UA and Bombardier Recreational Products are working on an unmanned ground vehicle prototype. Himera and Quantropi are developing secure communications solutions. Additional cooperation plans involve GTH and General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada, JK Land Vehicles and General Dynamics Land Systems, and a joint training programme by Skyfall and Calian. The event followed the signing of a joint declaration on defence and security cooperation and the implementation of the Drone Deal in the Americas. Twenty-one Canadian companies participated in the event. Under the Ukrainian-Canadian programme, 30% of the drones produced will be supplied to Ukraine’s Defence Forces, the presidential office said.
