Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a series of meetings across Northern Europe on Sept. 9, discussing defense cooperation in Norway, attending a royal farewell ceremony and meeting Iceland’s foreign minister while traveling to Canada.

In Oslo, Zelenskyy and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre met with executives from defense companies in partner countries to discuss implementation of the FREYJA anti-ballistic missile program, according to the Ukrainian presidential office.

Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska also attended a farewell ceremony for Norway’s King Harald V in Oslo. The presidential office said the monarch died on Aug. 28.

Later, while en route to Canada, Zelenskyy met Icelandic Foreign Minister Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir at Keflavík International Airport. The presidential office did not provide further details about the meeting.
