Queensland police have charged three men over an alleged armed robbery and assault at a train station in Burpengary on August 31. A 36-year-old man was seriously injured and taken to Redcliffe Hospital, where he was reported to be in a stable condition. Police allege three people assaulted the man shortly before 6:35 p.m. at the station on Burpengary Road and stole his jewellery. Investigators further allege the group left the scene before returning a short time later armed with weapons and assaulting the man again. An 18-year-old man from Kallangur, a 19-year-old man from Mango Hill and a 22-year-old man from Caboolture have each been charged with armed robbery, assault occasioning bodily harm and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm. The 18-year-old is due to appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on September 3, while the other two men are scheduled to appear on September 4.
