A 37-year-old Tarong man has been charged over two alleged dangerous driving incidents in Queensland’s South Burnett region, including one in which police say an officer was forced to move out of the path of a vehicle. Police allege the man was driving a silver Ford Falcon utility when officers attempted to stop him during roadside breath testing on Youngman Street, Kingaroy, about 2.15pm on August 22. The vehicle allegedly accelerated towards an officer before continuing south on the Bunya Highway. On August 30, police conducting speed enforcement in Nanango allegedly detected the same vehicle travelling at 150km/h in a 60km/h zone on Appin Street. Officers attempted to intercept the vehicle, which was later located on Raymond Road at Tarong. The man has been charged with two counts of driving without a licence and single counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle, endangering a police officer while driving, evading police, possessing tainted property, using stolen number plates and failing to comply with a requirement to stop.
