Queensland police have charged a 15-year-old boy after an allegedly stolen vehicle was driven erratically from Bli Bli to Nambour and crashed on August 10. A second alleged offender remains outstanding. Police said a white Honda Civic was stolen from an address on Satinash Place, Mudjimba, between 10 p.m. on August 9 and 6:30 a.m. on August 10. The vehicle allegedly sideswiped multiple cars before crashing at the intersection of Coronation Avenue and Carroll Street in Nambour at about 8:40 a.m. Two people allegedly fled the crash scene. Officers quickly apprehended one person nearby, while investigations continue to identify and locate the second individual. The Nambour teenager has been charged with six offences, including dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, entering a dwelling and committing an offence, driving without a licence, failing to comply with duties after a crash and receiving tainted property. He is due to appear in Maroochydore Children’s Court on August 11. Police are seeking information and relevant dashcam footage.
