Samsung Unveils Three New Foldables

Samsung Electronics has unveiled three new foldable smartphones: the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8. The company said the lineup is designed to offer distinct experiences focused on productivity, immersive content and self-expression, with pre-orders beginning July 22, 2026, in select markets.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 features a 7.6-inch main display, a 4,800 mAh battery and a dual 50-megapixel rear camera system. Samsung said its redesigned display ratios are intended to support different uses, including messaging, video, gaming and reading. The company also introduced Flex Titanium technology, which it said improves structural support and reduces crease visibility.

Positioned as the premium model, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra has an 8-inch main display, a 5,000 mAh battery, a 200-megapixel main camera and support for 45-watt wired charging. The 180-gram Galaxy Z Flip8 features a 6.9-inch internal display, a 4.1-inch cover screen and a 50-megapixel rear camera. Samsung said the new devices include expanded Galaxy AI features, including personalized briefings, automated actions and tools for organizing notes and files.

The devices run Android 17 with One UI 9 and include Samsung’s Knox security platform. Samsung said buyers will receive a six-month trial of Google AI Pro in eligible markets, while color options and availability will vary by region. The company did not provide pricing in the announcement.
