Queensland police have charged a 26-year-old Zillmere man with nine offences after an alleged assault in Taigum and the seizure of a loaded shotgun. Police said Carseldine officers received a report on July 12 that the man had allegedly physically assaulted a 45-year-old Taigum man and driven a vehicle at him. The two men were known to each other, and the alleged victim suffered minor injuries. A Brisbane Dog Squad officer later found the 26-year-old hiding in a garden on Grasspan Street, Zillmere, at about 9.45pm. Police allege he was carrying shotgun shells and cocaine. A subsequent search of the nearby area located a loaded shotgun. The charges include assault occasioning dangerous bodily harm, dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlawful possession of a Category C weapon, drug possession, driving without a licence, possessing explosives without authority and wilful damage.
