A 17-year-old boy has been charged following a wounding incident involving a rideshare driver at Redbank, Queensland, on July 17. Police said emergency services were called to Mine Street at about 1:59 p.m., where they found a 45-year-old male driver with serious injuries. The driver was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with a stomach wound that was not considered life-threatening. Police said two males and one female fled the scene but were arrested shortly afterward. The teenager has been charged with acts intended to maim, entering premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, and attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He was due to appear in Ipswich Children’s Court on July 18. The other two teenagers were released without charge. Police are appealing for anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward, quoting reference number QP2601385269.
