Two 17-year-old boys have been safely rescued from Main Range National Park in Killarney, Queensland, after a multi-agency search and rescue operation was launched. The teens were reported missing following a bushwalk and camping trip that began on July 1. Emergency services were alerted about the missing teens just before 4pm on July 2. The operation involved Queensland Police, State Emergency Service personnel, and the Rescue 500 Helicopter, culminating in the successful recovery of the youths at approximately 7.12 am on July 4. Upon rescue, the boys were examined by emergency responders and were found to be in good health, requiring no further medical treatment. The Queensland Police Service has stated that no additional information is available at this time but will issue an advisory if relevant details or visuals from the rescue become available.
