First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska recently participated in a pivotal working session aimed at enhancing the coordination of communications for the nation’s School Nutrition Reform. The session included a diverse group of participants from various governmental and educational sectors, emphasizing a unified approach to improving school nutrition. The reform, vital amidst ongoing national challenges, aims not only to revamp school menus and food facilities but also to instill lifelong healthy eating habits in students. Zelenska highlighted the reform’s progress and its broader objectives during the session. “We are not just feeding the children for today, but educating them to maintain healthy eating habits throughout their lives,” she stated. To effectively disseminate the principles of the reform, the team introduced creative engagement strategies such as organizing food festivals, culinary workshops, and educational competitions. These initiatives are designed to make learning about nutrition enjoyable and impactful. For instance, Zelenska shared insights from a festival in the Khmelnytskyi region, which saw active participation from parents, children, and educators in cooking traditional dishes in a fun and relaxed environment. The session also showcased the ongoing efforts in monitoring and enhancing school kitchen facilities, a project supported by the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine. This example served as a practical demonstration of how state funding and international support can be synergized for effective reform implementation. Through these collaborative and innovative approaches, the School Nutrition Reform in Ukraine is set to leave a lasting impact on future generations. Post navigation Beware of Spoofing Scam Calls
