A fatal traffic collision occurred on the Logan Motorway at Tanah Merah, leading to the death of a 61-year-old man from Loganlea. The incident, which involved a silver Mitsubishi Triton and a grey Mazda hatchback, took place shortly before 3 pm on June 6th. According to the Queensland Police Service’s Forensic Crash Unit, the collision happened on the westbound lanes near the Drews Road on-ramp. Post-collision, the Mitsubishi Triton veered off the road and rolled, resulting in the driver’s immediate fatality at the scene. The occupants of the Mazda, a 39-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man from Hillcrest, did not sustain physical injuries. The Forensic Crash Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
