A fatal traffic collision occurred on the Logan Motorway at Tanah Merah, leading to the death of a 61-year-old man from Loganlea. The incident, which involved a silver Mitsubishi Triton and a grey Mazda hatchback, took place shortly before 3 pm on June 6th.

According to the Queensland Police Service’s Forensic Crash Unit, the collision happened on the westbound lanes near the Drews Road on-ramp. Post-collision, the Mitsubishi Triton veered off the road and rolled, resulting in the driver’s immediate fatality at the scene. The occupants of the Mazda, a 39-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man from Hillcrest, did not sustain physical injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Witnesses or anyone possessing relevant dashcam footage are encouraged to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
