In a recent address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted the devastating impact of Russia’s military aggression, pointing out the critical role that international components play in the manufacture of Russian drones and missiles. According to Zelenskyy, the ongoing attacks that have claimed lives and destroyed infrastructure are indirectly supported by global entities that supply essential components for Russia’s weaponry. The president’s statement followed a severe Russian offensive involving over 70 missiles and 650 drones, killing 22 people, including children. The aftermath saw widespread damage across several Ukrainian regions. Zelenskyy emphasized that these weapons could not be produced without significant foreign involvement, accusing suppliers of real, albeit possibly unintentional, complicity in the destruction caused. Further stressing the point, Zelenskyy revealed data indicating the extensive use of foreign parts in Russian military equipment, such as thousands of components in Kalibr missiles, Iskander missiles, and various drones. He called for a robust response, including strengthening sanctions and countermeasures to inhibit Russia’s military capabilities. As Ukraine prepares for potential further escalations, Zelenskyy urged continued vigilance and international cooperation to bolster Ukraine’s defense and to work towards a European anti-ballistic system capable of thwarting any future threats. The Ukrainian leadership remains committed to diplomatic engagements and enhancing defensive strategies in collaboration with global partners.
