In a dramatic sequence of events in Bowen Hills, a 25-year-old man from Goodna has been charged with multiple offenses following a series of traffic incidents that ended in a pedestrian injury. The Queensland Police Service reported the incident which occurred on the evening of May 31, 2026. The confrontation began with a verbal dispute between two drivers in a car park on Abbotsford Road. The altercation escalated as both vehicles proceeded along the road, culminating in a crash at the intersection with Montpellier Road where a Mitsubishi Triton, driven by the accused, rear-ended a Ford Ranger. The Triton driver fled the scene without stopping. Minutes later, police spotted the Triton on Brookes Street and attempted to intercept it. The driver sped away, avoiding police pursuit. The chase continued briefly until the Triton ran a red light at the intersection of Abbotsford Road and Campbell Street, colliding with a Tesla.
