A woman has died in hospital after a single-vehicle crash in Condon, near Townsville, on May 15. The 83-year-old Kelso woman was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Queensland Police said the silver Toyota RAV4 was travelling along North Beck Drive at about 3 p.m. when it left the road, travelled up an embankment and came to a stop near the Ring Road on-ramp.

The woman was taken to Townsville University Hospital in serious condition but died from her injuries on May 18. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact investigators, quoting reference number QP2600935340. Investigations remain ongoing.
