The meeting, held to discuss the burgeoning bilateral relations between the two nations, underscored the implementation of agreements from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s recent visit to Azerbaijan and a subsequent leaders’ dialogue.

The discussions highlighted ongoing political consultations and the activities of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, with a special focus on energy partnerships. Furthermore, preparations for the upcoming World Urban Forum in Baku were reviewed, where Ukraine aims to prioritize its national agenda.

The meeting also addressed the pressing issue of urbicide—systematic attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. Kyslytsya emphasized the need for expanded international cooperation to aid recovery in these regions. Additionally, the talks covered prospects for regional collaboration within the GUAM organization, considering the current security and economic challenges.
