A tragic traffic incident on the Cunningham Highway in Clintonvale has resulted in the death of a motorcyclist, prompting an intense investigation by the Forensic Crash Unit. The accident occurred on the afternoon of April 24, involving a collision between a BMW motorbike and a Holden Commodore sedan.

According to initial reports from the Queensland Police, the incident happened around 3:25 PM when the BMW motorcycle collided with the Holden as it was turning off the highway onto Shelley Road. The motorcyclist, a 57-year-old man from Glen Aplin, suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The 19-year-old driver of the Holden from Split Yard Creek did not sustain any physical injuries.

The Queensland Police are urging anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the accident to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
